HAPPY   HOLIDAYS   FROM   THE   PLATT   LAB

This year we hosted the Department of Pharmacology Christmas party and it was a hit! It was a festive feast of food and drinks, and all money raised went to the Oxford-based charity the Yellow Submarine. Thanks to the generous prize donations from local businesses as well as Fran encouraging everyone to try their luck on the tombola, together we raised a total of £500!

The Yellow Submarine supports young people with learning disabilities and supports them on their journey from childhood to adulthood. With a focus on community, they help individuals build social skills, confidence, as well as independence by preparing them for employment. Through youth clubs and school holiday programs to training and employment opportunities and young adult peer-support groups they support people as they develop and help them gain the confidence to flourish.
