NC3R's Research Day

Dave, Claire, Hsin, and Joseph attended the Oxford 3Rs Research Day – the event focused on the 3Rs principles of Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement. The 3R’s were developed in part to minimize the number of animals used in research and to improve their welfare. Those attending from the lab found the event quite useful as they learned more about the ways others implement these principles in their research. The Platt lab routinely applies the 3Rs to our work evaluating various pre-clinical therapies for NPC and other diseases affecting the lysosome.
