Members of the Platt lab set out on their latest challenge to raise money and awareness for two Niemann-Pick disease charities: NPUK (Niemann-Pick UK) and NPRF (Niemann-Pick Research Foundation).

The group canoed 40 miles from Donnington Bridge in Oxford to Tilehurst in Reading over the course of two days, camping overnight at Shillingford Bridge. The first day was quite a challenge because of the rain, the wind and Jess, the Patterdale Terrier, who capsized Fran’s and Dave’s canoe! But after a hot shower and some rest at the campsite in the evening, the second day went great and everyone was happy and proud to finish the challenge in the end. You can still donate in support of this challenge HERE
