Sandhoff disease (SD) is a progressive neurodegenerative lysosomal storage disorder which leads to inflammation in the central and peripheral nervous system. Our group has just published findings in the Journal 'Cells' that we have found blocking a receptor (IL-1β) could bring benefits to patients.
This year the Platt lab joined in with festivities on the 6th December in the Department of Pharmacology. Secret Santa tombola was followed by delicious food and festive lunch in our cafe.
