Niemann-Pick disease type C + acetyl-L-leucine                                              

Rebecca is studying for a D.Phil. under the joint supervision of Professor Frances Platt and Professor Grant Churchill. She holds a medical degree from the University of Oxford and gained clinical experience before returning for an M.Sc. and currently a D.Phil. in Pharmacology. Her project focuses on the uptake and metabolism of acetyl-L-leucine, in the context of its use as a therapy for Niemann-Pick disease type C.
