Gba deficiency diseases

Hannah is a D.Phil. student in the National Institutes of Health Oxford-Cambridge Scholars Program. Her research is focused on Gba deficiency diseases of the central nervous system such as Gaucher disease and Parkinson’s disease. Her work has explored how Gba deficiencies impact neurons and microglia. She is also investigating how GBA may interact with other proteins like GBA2 or alpha synuclein and how this may cause or worsen disease.

Supported by the NIH Oxford-Cambridge Scholars Program.
